Allen Burns The Oilers 7-4, Martinson's Post Game Comments

It is never fun to lose a home game, it is even less fun to lose three home games in seven days to the same team and the worst feeling is having former players score the goals that costs you a game. All of these happened to the Tulsa Oilers as the Allen Americans beat Tulsa last night 7-4. Three former Oiler players (Combs, Costello, Steffes) scored five of the seven goals to lead Allen to victory before a crowd of 3332 at the BOK Center. Four different players had three points for Allen.

STEVE MARTINSON'S POST GAME COMMENTS:

- I need to look at the tape to see exactly what the defensive breakdowns were. It seemed like we were outnumbered in front on a couple of Tulsa's goals.

- We made a bad decision on their breakaway goal which cost us.

- Gill made some big saves for us tonight. It is unfortunate for his save percentage when he plays really well and then we let Tulsa back in the game.

- The penalty kill was good tonight holding the Oilers scoreless in ten attempts.

OTHER COMMENTS:

- Goal scorers for Allen were Steffes (2), Costello (2), Asuchak, Combs & Baker

- In addition to the great penalty kill holding Tulsa scoreless in ten attemps Allen was 1-4 on the power play and also had a short handed goal.

- The two teams are back at it tonight in Allen which should be a great game.

DID YOU KNOW: The visiting team has won five of the six games played between Allen and Tulsa this year.
